Benedetto XVI ha ricevuto in udienza i partecipanti all'Assemblea Plenaria della Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede

It is official: The Dominican friar from Caltanissetta, Father Vincenzo M. Nuara has been called to work in the Holy See as a collaborator of the Ecclesia Dei. Some days ago Father Nuara became an Official of the Roman Curia. He was appointed by the Pontifical Commission “Ecclesia Dei” of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The Ecclesia Dei is the Vatican Commission that is in charge of the Motu Proprio “Summorum Pontificum” on the Latin Mass. The Secretary is Monsignor Guido Pozzo and the President is Cardinal William Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (former Holy Office).

He was born on 13 May 1966 in Vallelunga Pratameno, in the province of Caltanissetta. He entered the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans) in 1986 after studying at the Episcopal Seminary of Caltanissetta where he received high school qualifications in Classics. 

After receiving his Holy Orders by Monsignor Alfredo M. Garsia (the then Bishop of Caltanissetta), he entered the Dominican Novitiate in Milan, in the Convent of S.M. delle Grazie. He attended the Faculty of Theology (dogma section) at the Pontifical University San Tommaso in Urbe (Angelicum). He carried out specialized studies on the phenomenon of New Religiosity and religious sects at the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome.

His Eminence Monsignor Garsia, in the Cathedral of Caltanissetta, ordained him as a priest in 1991. He conducted his first Mass in Vallelunga, his home town. He dedicated the first years of his priesthood to popular preaching in retreats with spiritual exercises, the promotion of Dominican vocations and to the training of candidates to the Order of Palermo. He taught Dogmatic theology in Monreale (Palermo) and in Acireale (Catania). For several years now he has been a member of the Italian Theology Association, the Italian Association S. Cecilia and of the Group of Social and Religious Information and Research, G.R.I.S., where he was regional President in Sicily until 2008. He founded the diocesan Seat of the GRIS in Palermo in 1994 and led it for ten years. This was together with the Counselling Centre for the victims and relatives of members of religious sects. He assumed many responsibilities in the Order, including Prior of the Convent of San Rocco in Acireale and San Domenico in Catania, where he was also provincial councillor.

For ten years he conducted a radio programme on Radio Maria called “The challenges of the new evangelization”. 

He has offered his services with various responsibilities in the dioceses of Palermo as collaborator of the Cardinals Pappalardo and De Giorgi and in Acireale as Episcopal Vicar of the Religious Life. He collaborated in the pastorates of the Episcopal Conference of Sicily (office for the Ecumenism and Dialogue) and in the CISM as diocesan Secretary (in Acireale) and Regional Councillor of Sicily. In Acireale, he founded the Cultural Centre P. Vincenzo Lombardo and the movement “Youth and Tradition” (www.giovanietradizione.org) where he was the spiritual guide. He also created the “Priestley Fellowship Summorum Pontificum” and the movement “Families for Catholic Tradition”.

He has been living in Rome for more than a year in the General Curia of the Order of Preachers, in the historic convent of Santa Sabina, founded by Saint Dominic and now in the Angelicum Convent.

 

La notizia è ufficiale: il frate domenicano nisseno P. Vincenzo M. Nuara è stato chiamato a lavorare nella Santa Sede come collaboratore dell’Ecclesia Dei. Padre Nuara è diventato da qualche giorno Officiale della Curia Romana, nominato nella Pontificia Commissione “Ecclesia Dei” della Sacra Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede. L’Ecclesia Dei è quella Commissione vaticana che si occupa dell’applicazione del Motu Proprio “Summorum Pontificum” sulla Messa in latino, il cui Segretario è Mons. Guido Pozzo ed è presieduta dal Cardinale William Levada, Prefetto della Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede (ex Sant’Uffizio).

Nato il 13 maggio 1966 a Vallelunga Pratameno in provincia di Caltanissetta, è entrato nell’Ordine dei Frati Predicatori (Domenicani) nel 1986 dopo essere stato alunno del Seminario Vescovile di Caltanissetta e avervi conseguito il diploma di maturità classica. Dopo aver ricevuto l’ammissione agli Ordini sacri da Mons. Alfredo M. Garsia (allora vescovo di Caltanissetta) è entrato nel noviziato dei domenicani a Milano nel convento di S.M. delle Grazie. Ha frequentato gli studi nella Facoltà di Teologia (sez. dogmatica) nella Pontificia Università San Tommaso in Urbe (Angelicum), facendo anche studi specialistici sulle Religioni, il fenomeno della Nuova Religiosità e delle Sette religiose nella Pontificia Università Gregoriana in Roma. Ordinato sacerdote da S. E. Mons. Garsia nella Cattedrale di Caltanissetta nel 1991 e celebrata la prima Messa a Vallelunga, suo paese natale, ha dedicato i primi anni di sacerdozio alla predicazione popolare, di ritiri ed esercizi spirituali e alla promozione e alla cura delle vocazioni domenicane e alla formazione dei candidati all’Ordine nel postulandato di Palermo. Ha insegnato teologia dogmatica a Monreale (PA), Palermo e in Acireale (CT). E’ da vari anni, membro della Associazione Teologica Italiana,  dell’Associazione Italiana S. Cecilia e del G.R.I.S. (Gruppo di Ricerca e Informazione Socio-religiosa) di cui è stato presidente regionale della Sicilia fino al 2008,  dopo aver fondato a Palermo nel 1994 la sede diocesana del GRIS che ha diretto per dieci anni unitamente ad un Centro di Ascolto per le vittime e i familiari di affiliati alle sétte religiose.

 Ha assunto varie responsabilità nell’ Ordine, come Priore del Convento San Rocco in Acireale e San Domenico in Catania e Consigliere di Provincia.

Ha curato per circa dieci anni una trasmissione radiofonica su Radio Maria: “Le sfide della nuova  evangelizzazione”.

Ha prestato il suo servizio con diverse responsabilità, nelle diocesi di Palermo (collaboratore dei Cardinali Pappalardo e De Giorgi) e in Acireale come Vicario episcopale della Vita Consacrata. Ha collaborato negli uffici pastorali della Conferenza Episcopale Siciliana (ufficio per l’Ecumenismo e il Dialogo) e nella CISM come segretario diocesano (Acireale) e consigliere regionale della Sicilia. Ha fondato ad Acireale il Centro Culturale P. Vincenzo Lombardo e  il movimento  “Giovani e Tradizione” (www.giovanietradizione.org) di cui è stato la guida spirituale, e il Sodalizio spirituale per sacerdoti: “Amicizia Sacerdotale Summorum Pontificum” e il movimento “Famiglie per la Tradizione cattolica”.

Da più di un anno vive a Roma prima nella Curia Generalizia dell’Ordine dei Frati Predicatori, nello storico convento di Santa Sabina fondato da San Domenico, adesso nel convento dell'Angelicum.

Cari Confratelli,
a un mese dalla grazia del 2° Convegno romano sul “Summorum Pontificum”, Vi ringrazio per la Vostra presenza e collaborazione e Vi invito a ringraziare ancora con me il Signore per tutto quello che abbiamo ricevuto, anche per la S. Messa Pontificale in San Pietro e per la consolante parola del Santo Padre Benedetto XVI all’Angelus di domenica 18 ottobre u.s.

Desidero annunciarvi, quanto era già in nostro programma per l’Anno Sacerdotale, cioè gli esercizi spirituali per sacerdoti (diocesani e religiosi) che si terranno a Roma nella Casa degli Esercizi spirituali dei Padri Passionisti (SS. Giovanni e Paolo) dalla sera a Vespri del 7 febbraio al mattino del 13 febbraio 2010. Il costo della settimana è di E. 300,00. Il corso è aperto anche ai seminaristi e ai religiosi in formazione. Appena sarà possibile farò sapere il nome del predicatore e il tema del corso e tutte le ulteriori indicazioni necessarie. Pietro celebrata da S. Ecc. Rev.ma Mons Burke, Prefetto del Supremo Tribunale della Segnatura Apostolica.
