1.  Amore alla SS. Eucaristia, alla Beatissima Vergine Maria, al Papa.
2.  Docile obbedienza e perfetta comunione col Sommo Pontefice, Vicario di Cristo, Successore dell’Apostolo San Pietro e Pastore della Chiesa Universale.
3.  Conoscere, amare, celebrare, diffondere la Sacra Liturgia latino-gregoriana, in particolare la Santa Messa Tradizionale e il Breviarium Romanum.
4.  Studiare e diffondere la dottrina cattolica così come insegnata dal Magistero della Santa Madre Chiesa, in particolare del Romano Pontefice.
5.  Riconoscere e seguire nell’insegnamento della dottrina cattolica, San Tommaso d’Aquino come maestro (cf. O.T. 16).
6.  Approfondire la conoscenza della teologia e della spiritualità mariana e coltivare una sana, profonda e tenera devozione alla SS. Madre di Dio, con la recita assidua del S. Rosario.
7.  Devozione all’abito ecclesiastico e religioso come segno di consacrazione a Dio e testimonianza al mondo.
8.  Impegnarsi a pregare e a favorire le vocazioni sacerdotali e religiose.
9.  Ricercare una vera amicizia tra sacerdoti al fine di sostenersi vicendevolmente, collaborando in spirito di carità nell’esercizio del ministero sacerdotale.
10.  Impegnarsi a celebrare almeno una Santa Messa ogni mese per i sacerdoti vivi e defunti, quelli più in difficoltà e quelli più abbandonati in Purgatorio.

Aims and Purpose

1.    To live a love for the Blessed Eucharist, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Father.

2.    To live in docile obedience to, and in perfect communion with, the Holy Father, Vicar of Christ, Successor of the Apostle St. Peter and Pastor of the Universal Church.

3.    To know, love, celebrate, and spread devotion to the Holy Mass in the Roman Rite (?) in particular Holy Mass and the Breviary in their Traditional forms.

4.    To study and diffuse Catholic doctrine as it has been taught by the Magisterium of Holy Mother Church, in particular by the Holy Roman Pontiff.

5.    To recognise and follow St. Thomas as Master in the teaching of Catholic doctrine (cf. Optatum Totius, 16).

6.    To deepen the knowledge of theology and of Marian spirituality and to develop a sane, profound and tender devotion for the Most Holy Mother of God, with the regular recitation of the Holy Rosary.

7.    To foster devotion to religious and ecclesiastical dress as a sign of one’s consecration to God and as a testimony to the world.

8.    To dedicate oneself to praying for and favouring priestly and religious vocations.

9.    To search out again a true friendship between priests with the aim of sustaining one another and collaborating in a spirit of charity in the exercise of the sacerdotal ministry.

10.                       To dedicate oneself to celebrate at least one Holy Mass every month per priests, living and deceased, those most in difficulty and those most abandoned in Purgatory.

NB. These objectives of the Spiritual Sodalità A.S.S.P will be pursued by means of the organisation of retreats, courses of spiritual exercises, conferences, study days, seminars, liturgy and music courses, pilgrimages and vacations.

OBJETIVOS Y FINALIDAD

1.    Amor a la Santísima Eucaristía, a la Bienaventurada Virgen María, al Papa.

2.    Dócil obediencia y perfecta comunión con el Sumo Pontífice, Vicario de Cristo, Sucesor del Apóstol Pedro y Pastor de la Iglesia Universal.

3.    Conocer, amar, celebrar, difundir la Sagrada Liturgia latino-gregoriana, en particular la Santa Misa Tradicional y el Breviarium Romanum.

4.    Estudiar y difundir la doctrina católica así como es enseñada por el Magisterio de la Santa Madre Iglesia, en particular del Romano Pontífice.

5.    Reconocer a santo Tomás de Aquino como maestro y seguirlo en la enseñanza de la doctrina católica (cf. O.T. 16).

6.    Profundizar el conocimiento de la teología y de la espiritualidad mariana y cultivar una sana, profunda y tierna devoción a la Santa Madre de Dios con la recitación asidua del Santo Rosario.

7.    Devoción al hábito eclesiástico y religioso como signo de consagración y testimonio ante el mundo.

8.    Comprometerse a orar y favorecer las vocaciones sacerdotales y religiosas

9.    Procurar una verdadera amistad entre sacerdotes con el fin de sostenerse mutuamente, colaborando con espíritu de caridad en el ejercicio del ministerio sacerdotal.

10.                       Comprometerse a celebrar al menos una Santa Misa cada mes por los sacerdotes vivos y difuntos, por aquellos más en dificultad y los más abandonados en el Purgatorio.

N.B. Los objetivos de la Asociación espiritual A.S.S.P. se cumplirán a través de la organización de retiros, tandas de ejercicios espirituales, congresos, jornadas de estudio, seminarios, cursos de liturgia y canto, peregrinaciones y vacaciones.

Ideale und Ziele

1. Liebe zur heiligsten Eucharistie, zur allerseeligsten Jungfrau Maria und zum Hl.Vater.

2. Fügsamen Gehorsam und vollkommene Einheit mit dem Obersten Hirten, dem Stellvertreter Christi, Nachfolger des Apostels Petrus und Hirte der Universalen Kirche. 

3. Die lateinisch-gregorianische Liturgie immer besser kennenlernen, feiern, lieben und verbreiten wollen, insbesondere den überlieferten Messritus und das Römische Brevier.

4. Das von der Heiligen Mutter Kirche, und insbesondere vom Römischen Oberhirten unterrichtete Lehramt vertiefen und verbreiten.

5. Dem Heiligen Thomas von Aquin als Meister und Lehrer des katholischen Lehramtes nacheifern (cf. O.T. 16).  

6. Die marianische Theologie und Spiritualität vertiefen, sowie die kindliche Verehrung der Heiligsten Gottesmutter Maria pflegen, insbesondere durch beharrliches Rosenkranzgebet.

7. Die Bedeutung des priesterlichen und religiösen Gewandes erkennen und als Zeichen der Weihe an Gott in die Welt tragen.

8. Eifriges Beten und sich Einsetzen zur Findung und Förderung geistlicher Berufungen.

9. Förderung wahrer Freundschaft zwischen Priestern im Geiste christlicher Nächstenliebe, durch Zusammenarbeit, gegenseitige Hilfe und Unterstützung.

10. Monatlich wenigstens eine Heilige Messe für alle lebenden und verstorbenen Priester aufopfern, insbesondere für jene in Schwierigkeiten, und für die verlassensten Priesterseelen im Fegfeuer.

It is official: The Dominican friar from Caltanissetta, Father Vincenzo M. Nuara has been called to work in the Holy See as a collaborator of the Ecclesia Dei. Some days ago Father Nuara became an Official of the Roman Curia. He was appointed by the Pontifical Commission “Ecclesia Dei” of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The Ecclesia Dei is the Vatican Commission that is in charge of the Motu Proprio “Summorum Pontificum” on the Latin Mass. The Secretary is Monsignor Guido Pozzo and the President is Cardinal William Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (former Holy Office).

He was born on 13 May 1966 in Vallelunga Pratameno, in the province of Caltanissetta. He entered the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans) in 1986 after studying at the Episcopal Seminary of Caltanissetta where he received high school qualifications in Classics. 

After receiving his Holy Orders by Monsignor Alfredo M. Garsia (the then Bishop of Caltanissetta), he entered the Dominican Novitiate in Milan, in the Convent of S.M. delle Grazie. He attended the Faculty of Theology (dogma section) at the Pontifical University San Tommaso in Urbe (Angelicum). He carried out specialized studies on the phenomenon of New Religiosity and religious sects at the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome.

His Eminence Monsignor Garsia, in the Cathedral of Caltanissetta, ordained him as a priest in 1991. He conducted his first Mass in Vallelunga, his home town. He dedicated the first years of his priesthood to popular preaching in retreats with spiritual exercises, the promotion of Dominican vocations and to the training of candidates to the Order of Palermo. He taught Dogmatic theology in Monreale (Palermo) and in Acireale (Catania). For several years now he has been a member of the Italian Theology Association, the Italian Association S. Cecilia and of the Group of Social and Religious Information and Research, G.R.I.S., where he was regional President in Sicily until 2008. He founded the diocesan Seat of the GRIS in Palermo in 1994 and led it for ten years. This was together with the Counselling Centre for the victims and relatives of members of religious sects. He assumed many responsibilities in the Order, including Prior of the Convent of San Rocco in Acireale and San Domenico in Catania, where he was also provincial councillor.

For ten years he conducted a radio programme on Radio Maria called “The challenges of the new evangelization”. 

He has offered his services with various responsibilities in the dioceses of Palermo as collaborator of the Cardinals Pappalardo and De Giorgi and in Acireale as Episcopal Vicar of the Religious Life. He collaborated in the pastorates of the Episcopal Conference of Sicily (office for the Ecumenism and Dialogue) and in the CISM as diocesan Secretary (in Acireale) and Regional Councillor of Sicily. In Acireale, he founded the Cultural Centre P. Vincenzo Lombardo and the movement “Youth and Tradition” (www.giovanietradizione.org) where he was the spiritual guide. He also created the “Priestley Fellowship Summorum Pontificum” and the movement “Families for Catholic Tradition”.

He has been living in Rome for more than a year in the General Curia of the Order of Preachers, in the historic convent of Santa Sabina, founded by Saint Dominic and now in the Angelicum Convent.
